133. Chocolate cake
Ingredients : 150 gm Maida/fine flour, 150 gm sugar, 150 gm butter, 1 pinch salt, 3 eggs (one egg for 50 gm maida) , one and half tea spoon baking powder, cocoa or drinking chocolate about 140 gm (to lessen the quantity of maida 10 gm) , 10 gm choco milk (if required)
Another recipe from another friend:
1 cup cream, 2 cup maida, 1 cup sugar, 4 eggs, 1 tea spoon baking powder, vanilla essence one tea spoon or coco powder 1 big spoon.
Method: Mix all the ingredients. It should be like smooth thick paste. Bake it like other cakes.
134. Butter Milk Cocoa Cake
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C, and butter and flour a 9 by inch round cake pan.
2. Mix together 1 3/4 cups of white flour/maida, 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 cup sugar, 1 tea spoon baking soda and 1/4 tea spoon salt.
3. To these ingredients add one cup butter milk , 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter, and 2 tea spoons vanilla. Mix.
4. Turn the batter into the pan, bake the cake in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean, and let it stand for 5 minutes before turning it out of the pan.
It tastes good by itself and looks good when served in a white plate.
Furthermore, it keeps like a dream and tastes even better after a few days. If you want to be lavish you can dress this cake by serving it with ice cream or sweetened cream. You can ice the cake with butter icing or dust it with plain white sugar.
135. Ice Cream
Ingredients: Milk 1 litre, sugar 1 bowl, corn flour 4 tea spoon, china grass 1 tea spoon, milk powder half bowl, cream half bowl, any flavour according to your choice.
Method: Boil milk to make it 3/4. Then add sugar. Make a paste of corn flour and china grass in cold milk. Let it cool and then add paste of milk powder, cream and flavour. Put it in mixer, churn it and let it set in fridge and once it is set then again put it in mixer and set it. After few hours ice cream is ready to eat.
